The Film Festival Needs Volunteers!

The Takoma Park Film Festival is entering its sixth year and we want to continue to improve and expand the festival. To do that, we need people with ideas and energy to join the effort.

Here are some of the specific volunteer opportunities available:

• We will need volunteers to help out at our table at the Takoma Park Folk Festival (September 14, 2008) and Takoma Park Street Festival (October 5, 2008).
• We need someone to act as food donation coordinator. This person would be responsible for soliciting and picking up donations of food for our receptions. This work can be done in the month/weeks prior to the festival.
• We need someone to act as volunteer coordinator for the people who offer to help run events at the festival. This work would be done at the festival and in the week or so prior to the festival.
• We'll need volunteers to hand out programs at the Takoma Park Farmer's Market and the metro in early November.
• We need volunteer photographers to take print-quality digital photos of events at the film festival (February 2009).
• We'll need volunteers to participate in the programming committee. The committee will begin meeting shortly after our November 1 deadline.
